Behavior Modification Services
Behavior Modification to assist with any Behavior problem.
Does your dog:
- Not come when called?
- Exhibit destructive behavior ?
- Growl or bark at dogs or people?
- Run away?
- Jump on people?
- Fight with other dogs?
- Pull on leash?
- Jump fences?
We can help you manage and control these problems, and modify your dog's behavior. We are experienced in dealing with any and all behavior problems, with any and all kinds of dogs. We specialize in dealing with 'untrainable' dogs, intractable behavior problems, aggressive behaviors, as well as more common issues such as jumping on people, barking, and pulling on leash.
Diagnosis
We are skilled in behavioral diagnosis, and in standard and alternative treatments to all behavior problems. There are many trainers and behaviorists out there who claim to have 'the answer' to all problems, but the truth is that each case is different, and only a trainer or behaviorist with a wide range of experience and knowledge can find a method to meet the needs of you and your dog.
Methodology
Many problems can be dealt with simply by teaching intensive basic obedience, but we can also resort to scientific behavior modification protocols, and we work closely with many area Veterinarians in the use of medication to help modify behavior. Just like with our regular dog training, our behavior services are based on a philosophy of having a large toolbox, and choosing the right tool for the job. We do not believe in using only one method, techinque, or style. If your dog is a round pet, we will not try to fit him into a square hole.
Support
Unlike many behaviorists, we will not simply hand you a diagnosis and a set of exercises. We do not leave you on your own to follow our instructions. We will coach you step by step how to manage and modify your dog's behavior, either at our facility, or at your home. Of course you will need to do your homework, but we ourselves are skilled at managing, handling, and modifying the behavior of all kinds of dogs. We know what works and what doesn't, and if something is not working, we will find another way to approach the problem.
